The event brought together Indian residents in Burkina Faso led by Indian Ambassador H.E Om Prakash Meen, friends of India, members of the Burkinabe Government and diplomatic corps at the Faso Cultural Center in Ouaga 2000. The « India day » was an opportunity to celebrate Indian culture, Indian cinema, music, crafts and Indian gastronomy.

This day was marked by the broadcast of a film which traces Indian social values, an exhibition on the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, symbol of the movement for the independence of India and also an exhibition of Indian gastronomy and objects of Indian origin.
