The Burkinabè Minister of Foreign Affairs, SEM Karamoko Jean Marie TRAORE received in audience, this Monday, May 11, 2026, the Ambassador of the Republic of India, SEM Om Prakash MEENA.

The Indian diplomat came to officially convey the invitation from the first authorities of his country addressed to those of Burkina Faso, to take part in the India-Africa summit scheduled for the end of May in New Delhi.

It was also an opportunity for the ambassador to take stock of the preparations for the summit and to share with HE Karamoko Jean Marie TRAORE some information relating to Burkina Faso’s participation in this major meeting.

HE Om Prakash MEENA indicated that Burkina Faso is particularly expected at this summit, given the leadership of the President of Faso and given the good cooperative relations that exist and are strengthening day by day between the two countries.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs said he had taken note of the information on the summit, the program of which was « motivating », which heralds good prospects in cooperation between India and African states.

He reassured the Indian diplomat of Burkina Faso’s participation in this major meeting which will allow, in the bilateral aspect, to consolidate the partnership between India and the country of honest men.
