This Friday, June 26, 2026, the President of Faso, Head of State, Comrade Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, received the letters of credence from H.E.M. Saad Misfer Ahmed ALMIMONI, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Burkina Faso with residence in Ouagadougou.
H.E.M. Saad Misfer Ahmed ALMIMONI, born September 23, 1968, is a career diplomat. A lawyer by training, he joined the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1992 where he held major responsibilities and in diplomatic missions.
Burkina Faso and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have established diplomatic relations since August 25, 1965. This cooperation is reflected in the reciprocal opening of resident embassies and the signing of cooperation agreements in different areas and the realization of major projects through financial institutions such as the Saudi Development Fund (FSD) and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
