En visite officielle aux Seychelles, le Premier ministre indien Narendra Modi a eu une reconnaissance bien méritée pour ses efforts en faveur du développement durable et de la protection de l’environnemen.
Dans un geste exceptionnel, le président Patrick Herminie a décerné au Premier ministre la distinction présidentielle « Gardien de l’horizon bleu ». C’est la première fois que les Seychelles accordent un tel honneur.
Cette distinction présidentielle salue le leadership et l’engagement sans faille du Premier ministre en faveur de la préservation de l’environnement, du développement durable, de la résilience climatique, de l’économie bleue et de la promotion des aspirations des petits États insulaires en développement.
Parmi les initiatives concernées figurent notamment Mission LiFE, « Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam », l’Alliance solaire internationale, la Coalition pour des infrastructures résilientes face aux catastrophes et l’Alliance internationale pour les grands félins.
Le Premier ministre a dédié cette distinction à l’amitié particulière qui lie l’Inde et les Seychelles.

On an official visit to Seychelles, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received well-deserved recognition for his efforts towards sustainable development and environmental protection.
In an exceptional gesture, President Patrick Herminie awarded the Prime Minister the presidential distinction “Guardian of the Blue Horizon”. This is the first time that Seychelles has granted such an honor.
This presidential distinction recognizes the leadership and unwavering commitment of the Prime Minister to environmental preservation, sustainable development, climate resilience, the blue economy and the promotion of the aspirations of small island developing States.
Initiatives include Mission LiFE, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, the International Solar Alliance, the Disaster Resilient Infrastructure Coalition and the International Big Cat Alliance.
