The Ambassador of India to Burkina Faso O.P. Meena paid a visit on February 2 and 3, 2026 to Bobo-Dialossou, the economic capital of the country.
During his stay, Ambassador O.P. Meena first paid a courtesy visit to Ms. Mariam Konaté/Gnanou, governor of the Guiriko region, and discussed possibilities for cooperation within the framework of small community development projects.
Then, the Indian diplomat visited the Burkinabè textile fiber company (SOFITEX) where he participated in a monthly raising of colors ceremony and also a fundraiser for the national campaign “Dɛmɛ Sira” initiated by the Government through the Ministry of Family and Solidarity.
It should be noted that Burkina Faso and India maintain an excellent cooperative relationship. The Ouagadougou-New Delhi axis is doing very well.
