The Indian economy is in good health despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The country recorded the highest growth in the world in 2026. The GDP growth rate showed 7.8% in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025-2026.
This is the highest growth rate for this year 2026, better than Malaysia 5.4%, Indonesia 5.3% and China 4.9% or far ahead of the United States of America 2.3% and the European Union 1.5%.
For Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this growth reflects the inherent strength of the economy, the success of reforms undertaken in several sectors and the hard work of Indians.

Inde : Forte croissance économique au monde en 2026
L’économie indienne est en bonne santé malgré les tensions géopolitiques au Moyen-Orient. Le pays a enregistré la plus forte croissance du monde en 2026.
Le taux de croissance du PIB affiche 7,8 % au quatrième trimestre de l’exercice 2025-2026.
C’est le taux de croissance le plus élevé pour cette année 2026 mieux que la Malaisie 5,4 %, l’Indonésie 5,3 % et la Chine 4,9 % ou encore loin devant les États-Unis d’Amérique 2,3 % et l’Union Européenne 1,5 %.
Pour le Premier ministre Indien Narendra Modi, cette croissance reflète la force inhérente de l’économie, le succès des des réformes entreprises dans plusieurs secteurs et le travail acharné des Indiens.
